I got my first job at 14 years old (2 weeks before I turned 15). This was at the Auntie Annes in Regency Square Mall. From there moved to working in a medical supply ware house. After years or working 15-16 hour days I was able to get my foot in the door of a local insurance agency and start in the mail room. Within the first 7 months I obtained a license and began doing customer service work. After 2-3 years I was able to move over to the commercial team and began my career in commercial insurance. Again starting at the bottom in the mail room/routing department and working my way up to being a commercial account manager and leading a team of 12. It was a natural progression that has now brought me full circle in selling insurance.
I was born and raised in Jacksonville. Still live in the house I grew up in. Most of my family is in or around the Jacksonville area. Anywhere from St. Johns to Ponte Vedra Beach. All the way out to Fernandina. One of the things I love most about being here is having my family so close. Just recently became engaged! We have two dogs. One is a red nose pit bull and the other is a mini schnauzer. Of course, the mini schnauzer believes he runs the house. In my off time, I enjoy playing golf and relaxing at home. I am patiently waiting for us to find a new home so that I can get back into fish tanks. I previously had a 100-gallon saltwater coral and fish tank that I took care of for about 7 years. Due to the size restriction of our current home, I did just recently break it down and sold it so we could have some of our living room/dining room back.
There are a lot of reasons I love working at First Beaches so I will try to limit them to the most important to me.
- The customer is always the priority and maintaining relationships with customers. This is not an 800 number type of company where you get somebody different every time and can never talk to the person who sold you the policy. We encourage people to come to the office and meet face to face.
- The owner of First Beaches Insurance has grown up in this community and has been heavily involved in the community his whole life.
- The other employees are some of the nicest and most professional people I have ever had the pleasure to work with and the environment here is just so up beat.
- Almost forgot. Wonderbird is just right down the road!
